Old-Fashioned Brooches…Hit or Miss?

Lately I’ve gotten some nice deals on brooches from the early 1900s. They are all sweet and in good condition and hearken back to a different era. But it occurs to me that they are all rather out of vogue today. They are definitely not in the same league as a desirable Taxco sterling silver bracelet or a Miriam Haskell necklace.

So now I’m second guessing myself!! (I hate that, don’t you?) I’ll still put them in my Etsy store, but I’m wondering who my buyers will be!

So take a look and, please, tell me what you think.

Hand-painted porcelain pin with water lilies and cattails

Hand-painted river scene on a mother-of-pearl pin

Fancy brass and purple glass pin/pendant

Huge enamel Art Nouveau sash pin

Teeny, tiny gold-filled Victorian pin with coral branch

Okay, the truth now, do any of these appeal to you? Would you wear any of them? Would you give any of them as a gift? Are they a hit or miss?? And if you have a favorite style of jewelry, what is it??

Thanks!!! And happy hunting!
